Does being a celebrity mean that you must also sacrifice your right to privacy?
Submitted by Dr. Jane Greer on Fri, 08/08/2008 - 12:29Our celebrities are the golden people. After all, they are our role models, the ones we admire, look up to and even envy. They inspire us, entertain us, and hold out the promise of caviar wishes and champagne dreams for all to aspire to. We all remember them from high school when they were voted best looking, smartest, class president, and homecoming king and queen. They were gifted with talent, brains and looks to take them the distance in life.
No Deal for SAG…Yet.
Submitted by Allcot Rolling on Thu, 06/19/2008 - 15:24With less than 2 weeks before the Screen Actors Guild’s feature-primetime pact expires, the guild’s president, Alan Rosenberg, is unconvinced that SAG and the major studios can attain an agreement prior to their June 30th deadline.
A statement released by SAG commented on the negotiation process by noting that, “Negotiations are about give and take….. Thus far it has primarily been SAG’s negotiating committee giving”.

It had to come to this... eventually. Today, Mr. Jordan's legal team took the extraordinary step of releasing transcripts from telephone calls and written correspondance from Lisa A. Miceli. All of it makes for painful reading simply because all of it demonstrates just how lacking in sanity this poor woman is and naturally one's thoughts turn to her son, Dante. The legacy this tormented individual is leaving him will scar him for his lifetime.
Where are the parents, her siblings, someone who truly cares? Does anyone in the Miceli family see the train wreck before them? Could it be the family is in need of funds and supporting this disaster accordingly? Hoping for a pay out that is clearly never coming?
I am torn here; torn, because I know Lisa is due for a jail cell and this is the prelude in an unfortunate, dare I say dangerous, outcome. I am torn because Lisa is so ill she will be utterly defenseless among more hardened criminals; yet I do believe incarceration would force the State of Pennsylvania to subject her to a mental evaluation long overdue.
Justice is blind... then again, at times justice is profoundly stupid. Mental health laws consistent from state to state, fair, impartial, and kind would have put Lisa in a treatment program; where she should have been all along.
In reality, her family should have dealt with this mess from the beginning - for Dante's sake. A child deserves a childhood of bliss and happiness; Dante deserves to be a child. You would think the Miceli family would get that single, yet important point through their collective heads. Taking Dante away from this mess doesn't deprive Lisa of her parental rights, it preserves Dante's rights to safety and security. Such a simple concept!

Submitted by Tracker on Sat, 05/24/2008 - 08:44This area will contain links, sites, and information of interest regarding the darker cyber world of the Internet. Some of it will be difficult to read and deeply disturbing. I hope some of the material will be enlightening. This is all out "there", and part of the larger reason the Internet can be, and is, a very dangerous place.
